Hey just wanted to spread the word about that I will be at the Buford Arts/Jazz Festival starting at 11AM on May 10…this is a great community with a small town feel! So come out and root for me…or at least my husband to with stand the hanging out…for hours upon hours…I bet he will love shoe shopping after this…

Just a not to say that I have about 4 paintings on display at the Dimensions Gallery in Savannah, GA. The gallery is located on 412 MLK Jr. Blvd P-912-236-4993.
I am really hoping that folks will like them enough to buy them. The four I have on display are:
1) IN A BLUE MOOD
2) MILK GLASS WITH DRAPING GRAPES
3) ALL DRESSED UP
4) COOL IN THE EVENING

Off the Wall: More Again, One Time-A Call for Artists to Sell Your Art!
Let’s Go for 200 Artists Selling Their Work at 200 Smacker-roos!
(Well, if not, we’ll settle for less but dream, man dream!)
Come Fall 2008 the DeFoore Centre in Atlanta GA will be the place again for area artists to strike a pose and sell their work to buyers that will walk away with a deal of a lifetime.
More details of the show will be coming along…
If you don’t already know last November we had about 57 artists with their work display for one night only and we had a blast. Everyone walked away with something…money, a new friend and some a gallery show. I am holding 57 spots for those who participated in it as promised. So I hope that I can get 57 more to come along.
The goal is:
You set up the ball on the fullback line-no, oops wait…the goal is to Sell! Sell! Sell!…oh, dang it…the goal is to have a ready to hang, stand or wear piece of art by that night in hopes to sell. It can be a painting, a photo, a drawing, piece of jewelry, coffee mugs, or a bowl…whatever medium you work in but make it big enough so you aren’t overselling your work and not too big that you undersell. But keep it professional (ie: Framed and trimmed up)…am I making any sense?
(I think what might be really cool is if there are some graffiti artists out there they could get a stretched canvas and spray paint their work on it. What a great idea to walk into an Atlanta home, and see a long canvas covered in big letters and such…so be daring!)
The point is:
To run the ball up and down…oh wait…that’s not right…the point is:
So you can develop your work in the Atlanta area to get your name out there and cast out a potential gallery owner to show your work or a really good art collector that loves your work. This is a great way to network…
So in the meantime:
Back at the ranch, inside the store and out in the streets…
Get your work together and ready to be taken off the wall so you can sell that art!
I would love for folks who are struggling, well to do’s or long vets to take advantage!
Cause the old saying is: a good artist is a dead artist….
Let’s change that!

So what I need from you the artist (if you have a website to view your work), is a name, an email-phone and what kind of medium, and a confident yes! There will be a gallery commish at 40% …I will be following up with folks as the show gets closer.

A lot of interior decorators work in the area and there are a lot fabric, furniture and lighting vendors that are located nearby as well. Folks we had a great time at the DeFoor Centre on Saturday night. We sold a good amount and folks had a good time meeting each other and making new friends!
So after a day of rest….we will start to gear up for 2008’s show-in Jan-Feb…I hope to get 200 artists for 200! So look out for the announcement!
